Moemas-Parktown North

A quaint choice for breakfast. Moema's specialises in qualityfood usingthe freshest ingredients around. The pattiserie has a mouthwatering choice of delicious lookingcakes and other treats. Not the place to go if you're in a rush. It'srelaxed, slow paced yet definitely worth a visit.

The Dutchess of Wisbeach-Cape Town

Classic andelegant, thisquaint andcosy little spot lends itself towards that perfect romantic date with your loved one. If you're notfamiliar with the Cape Town setting, the restaurant could be compared to some of the trendy places you'd find in Melville, Johannesburg. The bistro-type menu is delicious yet it has to be be said - a bit on the pricier side of things, however, the ambience and service is magnifique.

TSG Better than Ever Formerly known as Tony's Spaghettin Grill - the new TSG is the spot for both young & old. From specials on all pizzas for R55 on Mondays & Tuesdays, Wednesdays amateur poker evenings and Thursdays ladies 2 for 1 cocktails, this venue knows thatencouraging social activity is key. TSG is theplace to head on a Saturday night fordecent talian grub, good entertainment and even dancing - if the mood takes you there. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent. I had a good time hope you do too.

Located in the upmarketBlu Bird Shopping Centre, this elegant restaurant is perfectif you enjoy seafood and Italian Fare. Their menu hasa great selection of seafoods, shellfish, pastas and meat dishes. Terrific tuna burgers and fries or the scrumptious fish pieis a good selection if you are in the mood for hearty, rustic food. The atmosphere is light and cosy, perfect for Winter & Summer, lunch or dinner. It does however, fill up very quicky, so you may need to book.

HQ Restaurant & Bar-Cape Town

Funky Find Situated in the City Centre, this viby venue mimics the famous parisian restaurant Le Relais de L'Entrecote. I didn't have a chance to try out the food but once dinner time is over the party starts.Asa social gathering spot, it's definitely rocking. The music is a mixture of old and new, I even got the pleasure of hearing a litte bit of Frank Sinatra.Different, decadent and delightful. Give this one atry if you are ever in the Cape Town area.

East Rand Traders Square Flea Market-Boksburg

Bankok Boere Style This bustiling flea market is filled to the brim with all kinds of fascinatingitems, from unique clothing, bags and jewellery toemo styleshoes and many other fun trinkets.Lots of bargains to be hadhere! The food court is great if you are in the mood for greasy grub -just what the doctor orderedwhen needing toline the stomach after a hard nights partying. It's not the classiest of venues but rather a rough and rocky type of attraction, jamp packed with intersesting peepsfrom all spheres of the planet. Rugby addicts will fit right in with the many Springbok and Blue Bulls supporters out and about. Kids will enjoy it too.

Maze-Cape Town

Treat yourself to a meal at Gordon Ramsay's famous Maze Restaurant located at the One & Only Resort.Dishes areprepared in an open show kitchen which is best known for it's tasting size dishes. The simple yet panache menu boasts an extensive range of seafood, game and a superior selection of beef. When it comes down to service, this venue definitley has the X-factor. Attention to the nitty gritty details is well above par as well.

Whalesong Hotel & Hydro-Plettenburg Bay

I had the pleasure of staying at this magnificient hotel about 2 years ago. The rooms were super clean, spacious, modern andoverlooked the pretty coastal scene of Plettenberg Bay. The food was spectacular. Dinner is served table de hout style in acosy dining room opening out onto a large wooden deck.Ienjoyed having cocktailsoutthere whilstwatching the sun setting over Plett. The hotel is situated close to the town centre and all the interesting excursions that are availablesuch as whale watching, the monkey, elephant and bird parks. THe health Hydro is also excellent, I've never been so relaxed after a massage before. Whalsong makes a great honeymoon destination.
